Poulan Riding Mower Hydrostatic Transmission Problem?

 Has anyone else had a confusion with the Poulan riding lawn mower with hydtrostatic (autonomous) transmission?

It seems out of gear if the load is heavy and therefore speeds gate (do not go back to the speed).

 my uncle mike proper gave me his two year old poulan riding mower, works immaculate but with a few flaws that hes been battling with over the two years, one, the gas tank on it is some character of plastic which does not curb up too well and always gives and cracks in the corners,

How to fix poulan riding lawn mower?

I have a Poulan Pro 18 Hp riding mower that I have replaced the battery, solenoid, and starter on. The solenoid was the last part replaced, and then I familiar it once. Now when you squeal on the key on it makes a flashy humming caterwauling and does not start. It seems to be getting fire from the battery to the solenoid, but no fire from solenoid to starter.
