Help with lawn tractor homemade striping kit?

 Well, I made a house striping kit for my John Deere LX172 lawn last week with semi mud had laying around. I tried it today and do not dominate stripes on the lawn.

 I weight is important. I know a 3 "PVC pipe filled with sand. Although I had bands in my lawn, it did not last throughout. I think I need to add more weight. I intend to build a new Comber and fill it with concrete which is heavier.

 I have a Cub Cadet LTX 1045 46" cut. i have been working merciless, but the stripes in my lawn are not that bold. i paucity to get them like commercial lawns have them. how can i accomplish this goal. some type of rolling-pin maybe.
