What would you want in a "bug out" kit?

 Designing this: You are a civilian (I spent it be either in the army 18 years ago, I am now a civilian) and you post a bug-out kit in the breast of a disaster Perhaps a nuclear attack? What you want and how you want to fool around him?

 Most often, this is a Bug Out Bag or BOB ... do a google search on that .... carload lots to build is too large. Imagine all the survivors huddled on a road ... you "ll end up leaving the distance and the incomplete implementation BOB.

A question for Americans please.Do you really eat beans around the campfire and do you have a chuck wagon in-?
