Frackville Easter egg hunt draws about 100 children

FRACKVILLE - It was a day later than planned, but the Easter egg pursuit on Sunday at Memorial Park football field in Frackville went off without a hitch.

The egg pry into, sponsored by the Frackville Recreation Board, began at 2 p.m. and drew about 100 children, accompanied by parents and grandparents. The hunting had been planned for Saturday, but the inclement weather caused the change of friend.

Sunday's skies were overcast, but the rain held off so the children could have some fun operation through the field collecting the colorful plastic eggs. Participants were divided into age categories 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. Prizes were awarded to three children in each category based on decided eggs they found.

Immediately before the youngest group began their egg hunt, the Easter Bunny made his display to deliver special treats to the girls and boys attending.

After all ages composed the eggs, the children had the opportunity to meet with the Easter Bunny, come into a treat, and pose for photos taken by their families.
