Which is better for a hilly yard: front wheel drive self propelled or rear wheel drive?

 My mower rear wheel driver burned through control twice in 3 years and I have to get a new lawn mower. Do I get a new rear wheel drive or front wheel drive?

 I recommend categorically a front mower.
We use accustomed to living on a cliff with a great appeal as a small cliff behind and below the escarpment. I broke myself and could not do without my faithful craftsman mower before.

I am buying a self propelled lawn mower and would like to know which is better... rear or front wheel drive.?
