Ameren Missouri restores power to 35000
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) - Missouri Ameren has restored power to 35,000 customers at the end of electric service due to damage caused by storms that moved through the afternoon the area Monday.
At the height of the outage, 72,000 customers were without electricity.
About 1,100 controllers on the ground, brush cutter, and lineman work since before the afternoon time to clear and repair downed power lines, tree limbs damaged and cracked columns. More than 200 linemen reacted out-of-circumstances.
"Based on current valuations, we expect storm restoration efforts will continue until Wednesday," said Richard Mark, senior vice president of customer operations. "Our first responders are continuing to assess the wreckage tonight, which means that we have a goal of restoring solid completion by Tuesday morning."
