AFTER 30 years with the same trade mark of 600-litre sprayer and eight-metre boom, Anthony and Joe Gallenti have made the turn.

The growers of Green Acres Instant Lawn in Kinglake West, wanted to see what the call could offer the family business.

They researched three major brands, including the marque the family had always used.

Anthony said the sprayer they chose was not the cheapest of the three but it provided several advantages over the meet.

"In October last year we bought a three-point linkage Silvan Slimline BP125/20 1000-litre sprayer with an eight-metre Ogress boom from our local dealers Godings in Whittlesea," he said.

"The Silvan sprayer has a galvanised bear up frame and the boom is fully hydraulic so you don't have to climb in and out of the tractor to originate adjustments to anything."

The BP125/20 has a self-priming, oil-backed diaphragm force with a capacity of 121 litres a minute and maximum pressure of 2000kPa.
