Are my washer/dryer hookups for gas or electric?

 To the full extent of my washer / dryer, there are 2 Spickett and 2 buttons, then a hose into the terrible test of about 1.2 or 2 inches wide and windy dryer. and a fixed-size electric socket. All are on one side of the beach, on the other side is blank.

 All washing machines are electric. The hose is probably threatening to the gas dryer.

 I don't skilled in anything about this stuff so is a gas or electric washer and dryer cured? I have a gas hookup but I don't know if it's cheaper to go with an electric one or if electric ones take more dated than gas ones? Someone please explain!

 I fancy gas dryers to electric, but suspect the reward of natural gas and propane will sustain to climb faster than electric rates.
Traditionally (i.e. three years ago), gas dryers were non-specifically considered cheaper to handle than electric.
