The villagers live in fear of a tireless Kumbukwewa herd of wild elephants that roam the village at sunset. Kumbukwewa is a village with a large population. It lies on the boundary of the Tha bbowa Reservation about six kilometers from the main road-Anuradhapura Puttalam.
