Have you been informed that the average daily consumption of water per person in Ireland is over 148 liters? This is more than enough to fill almost 2 bathrooms. As our country grows and develops, there is an increasing demand on our weakening supply. For all of us to enjoy our reserves, we must be more aware of conservation of pipe, particularly in our gardens during the summer months.

Advice to the water reserve in your garden this summer:

1. Do not wash the path

Paths, patios and driveways must never be watered thoroughly as you would lose. Use a brush, yard rake or outdoor blower for cleaning.

2.Collect rainwater

Concentrated rainwater in a barrel of water fed from your gutters, but make sure you always provide large containers for safety. Never use a system for watering your garden.

3. Sprinklers.

If you have plants to dishes early morning or evening when it is cooler. Always use a watering can.
